Privacy Policy
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Leon StrohmayerNürtingerstrasse 51

docthormusic@gmail.com
2. What this site does — and does not — collect
This website is a static site. We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, advertising networks, or contact forms, and we do not set cookies. Fonts, images and videos are served from our own hosting — no font provider receives your data. The only third-party content, the SoundCloud player, loads exclusively after your consent (section 4), and the only thing this site stores in your browser is that consent choice (section 5).
3. Hosting (server log files)
This website is hosted by GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the site, GitHub necessarily processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages (server log files). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and efficient provision of this website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). According to GitHub, IP addresses of visitors to GitHub Pages sites are logged and stored for security purposes; GitHub does not publish a fixed retention period and retains this data only for as long as necessary for those security purposes. We ourselves have no access to these log files. Because GitHub, Inc. is based in the USA, delivering the pages involves a transfer of this technical data to the USA: GitHub, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the EU Commission has issued an adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR), and additionally offers the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR) in its data protection terms. Details: GitHub General Privacy Statement.
4. Embedded SoundCloud player (consent-based)
The Music section can display a player from SoundCloud (SoundCloud Global Limited & Co. KG, Rheinsberger Str. 76/77, 10115 Berlin, Germany). The player does not load automatically. No connection to SoundCloud is established, no SoundCloud resource is requested, and no data is transmitted to SoundCloud until you actively press the "Load SoundCloud player" button.
If you press the button, SoundCloud receives technical data such as your IP address and may store or access information on your device (e.g. cookies or similar technologies) for functional, analytics, advertising or profiling purposes, and may transfer data to countries outside the EU. The legal bases are your consent pursuant to § 25 (1) TDDDG for the storage of or access to information on your device, and Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR for the associated processing of personal data.
SoundCloud may transfer personal data to recipients outside the EU/EEA, in particular to its affiliated company SoundCloud Inc. in the USA and to service providers in other third countries. According to SoundCloud, such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards within the meaning of Art. 46 GDPR, in particular the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR); information on these safeguards and on how to obtain a copy is available via SoundCloud's privacy policy linked below.
You can withdraw your consent at any time via the "Withdraw SoundCloud consent" control in the Music section (or by deleting this website's data in your browser); withdrawal takes effect for the future, and the page reloads without any SoundCloud content. The website remains fully usable without loading the player — all music platforms are also available via plain links. Details: SoundCloud Privacy Policy.
5. Storage of your consent choice
If you press "Load SoundCloud player", we store the value granted under the key docthor-soundcloud-consent in your browser's localStorage. This entry exists solely to remember your choice so you are not asked again on every visit; it contains no identifier and is never transmitted to us or anyone else. It remains until you withdraw consent or delete the site's browser data. Storing this entry is necessary to honour your expressed choice (§ 25 (2) TDDDG; Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
6. External links
Links to Spotify, Beatport, Apple Music, SoundCloud, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Dropbox (press kit) are plain links. No data is transferred to these providers until you click them; from then on, the respective provider's privacy policy applies.
7. Contact by email
If you contact us by email (e.g. booking requests), we process the data you provide (email address, message content, technical email metadata) to handle your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the request relates to a booking or other contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Our mailbox is operated by the Gmail service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; Google processes messages sent to this address, including their metadata, as our email provider. This may involve transfers of personal data to Google LLC in the USA: Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR), and Google additionally relies on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR) for international transfers. Details: Google Privacy Policy. We keep correspondence only for as long as needed to handle your request, plus any statutory retention periods that apply to business correspondence (up to six years under § 257 HGB / § 147 AO where applicable); it is then deleted. Providing your data is not legally required, but we cannot answer requests without contact details.
8. No analytics, no profiling by us
We do not use analytics or advertising services and do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), objection to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21), and the right to withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3)). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; the authority responsible for us is the LfDI Baden-Württemberg (baden-wuerttemberg.datenschutz.de).
10. How to exercise your rights
An informal email to docthormusic@gmail.com (suggested subject: "Privacy request") is sufficient to exercise any of the rights above. Please state which right you wish to exercise (e.g. access, deletion, objection) and which processing your request concerns. If we cannot identify you from the request itself, we may ask for additional information solely to verify your identity (Art. 12 (6) GDPR) — never more than necessary. We will respond within one month of receiving your request (Art. 12 (3) GDPR); exercising your rights is free of charge. Withdrawing your SoundCloud consent does not require an email — use the control described in section 4 directly on the website.
